We at Infinite Moments Travel recently had the pleasure of experiencing the magic of Jamaica firsthand, visiting three stunning Sandals and Beaches resorts in the Negril area. Here’s what we learned about entry requirements, transfers, and most importantly, the unique vibes of each resort.
Landing in Paradise: Breezing Through Customs
Before packing your swimsuit, be sure to check Jamaica’s entry requirements. One important document you’ll need is the C5 Arrival Card. This online form gathers information about your trip and health. Filling it out beforehand can save you tons of time at the airport. Trust us, skip the kiosk lines and thank yourself later! We also always recommend springing for Club Mobay. There are two separate lounges at the airport so one is going to be close no matter your departure gate.
Transferring to Paradise
Most flights will arrive at Montego Bay Airport (MBJ). From there, it’s about a 1.5-hour transfer to Negril. Don’t worry, there’s usually a restroom break halfway through to stretch your legs and transfers are included with your Sandals / Beaches stay. In addition, you can also upgrade to private transfers if you want to skip a shuttle.

We visited three incredible resorts in Negril: Beaches Negril, Sandals Negril, and Sandals South Coast. Here’s a breakdown of their unique offerings:
- Beaches Negril: Perfect for families! Beaches boasts a massive waterpark, delightful Sesame Street character appearances, and a schedule packed with shows and activities. Your kids will never be bored!
- Sandals Negril: Calling all couples! This adult-only resort offers a livelier atmosphere with swim-up bars, elegant dining options, and plenty of entertainment. We’re talking fire dancers, live music, and beach parties under the stars.
- Sandals South Coast: Tranquility seekers, this one’s for you. Spread out beautifully, Sandals South Coast offers a serene atmosphere with stunning ocean views. Perfect for relaxation and romance.
Entertainment Extravaganza!
All three resorts impressed us with their top-notch entertainment. Think poolside games, live music performances, beach bonfires, and even themed nights. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, no matter your mood.
A Match Made in Luxury
While we can’t choose a favorite (they’re all fantastic!), here’s our personal take:
- Sydney: For an unforgettable adults-only experience, Sandals Negril stole my heart!
- Heather: Sandals South Coast was my choice for a quiet and relaxed experience if I am traveling with my husband. Beaches Negril offered something for everyone in my family, with endless entertainment for the little ones and would be a great choice to spend time with my kids, ages 14 and 7.
