Jamaican Me Crazy… Comparing all 4 Couples Resorts
If you’re planning a trip to Jamaica and looking into staying at one of the four Couples Resorts, this is the blog for you!
My wife and I went there recently as travel agents to tour each of the resorts to find out what they have to offer. Each resort is unique from the other and provides their own Jamaican experience.
The resorts are loaded with great food and things to do. Everything from your buffets to fine dining to small, poolside grills. Not to mention the drinks! You’re sure to find yourself with a rum punch and some jerk chicken at some point during your stay. As far as things to do, each resort offers water sports, snorkeling, scuba, etc. Most of which are included with your stay!
Here’s some of what we learned and experienced during our trip!
Taking Off!
Before you leave for paradise here are some things to think about and pack for your trip. Jamaica has one important document that needs to be done and that is the C5 Declaration Form. This online form is something you’ll fill out when booking your flight. Doing it beforehand will save you time at the airport. Also don’t forget your Passports and cash to leave for tips. Couples Resorts has a no-tipping policy, meaning gratuities are already included. However, if you receive exceptional service, you’re welcome to offer a tip at your discretion. We also recommend tipping your airport transfer drivers.
Club Mobay!

Transfer us to Paradise!
When our transfer was ready, we were taken to our transfer from Montego Bay Airport. The airport sits roughly center to all Couples Resorts. Each resort is roughly 1.5 hours away.
Resort #1: Couples Swept Away

Resort #2: Couples Negril

Resort #3: Couples Tower Isle
Tower Isle is Couples oldest resort and was once the go-to resort for the rich and famous. Movie stars, royalty, and sports icons all stayed at this beautiful resort. Known for the small “Tower Isle” near the resort where it is now an au naturel island. If you’re not wanting to bare it all, you can still visit the island during certain hours of the morning and early evening. Tower Isle has 4 pools and 4 hot tubs along with 7 restaurants. Having the smallest footprint of the 4 resorts, Tower Isle has an easy-to-navigate feel to it. And don’t forget to say “Hi” to the parrots!
Resort #4: Couples Sans Souci

Meaning “Without Worry”, Sans Souci is perfect for those who want a more zen-like experience. Built into the side of a hill, it has a sprawling layout with a focus on health and rejuvenation with their natural mineral spring pool and hidden mineral grotto. In addition, Sans Souci also has its own au naturel beach tucked away from the main beach that sits on White River Bay. In terms of size, Sans Souci is the smallest by room count: 150 along with 6 restaurants. The majority of those rooms are extra large, sweeping vistas, giving you a more luxurious and romantic experience.
Luxurious Spas

All four resorts have unparalleled spa treatments with many options featuring signature Swedish massages, body wraps, scrubs, facials, etc. If you want a truly unlimited spa vacation, both Tower Isle and Sans Souci feature dedicated spa villas which give you unlimited, complimentary spa services tailored to a custom itinerary created by a spa concierge.
